Susan is the protagonist of the 1960's underground film, Ciao Manhattan. She was played by the beautiful Warhol superstar Edie Sedgwick. The immense cultural revolution and creative explosion of the 60's has always fascinated me. Edie (and Susan) represent to me the absolute embodiment of that spirit. The mod clothing, the outlandish eyelashes, the pixie-like decadence defined the free-spirited counterculture of the time. For me, Edie Sedgwick will always be a subject of intense fascination and muse to many an artwork.
